FTP - No idea who they are or what they do....but they are not calling for any legit reason, its a cold call.
An EXTREMELY rude and whiny (it was almost comical) lady called today and asked for John. We have (withing the C-Level alone) 6 Johns. I asked which John she needed.
"Well, the owner of the company."
Red Flag #1 - She doesn't know who she is calling. I answer the phone for a holding company, so there are at least 8 different "owners".
I told her I answer the phone for several companies, and asked her which one was she referring to?
Red Flag #2 - She SLAUGHTERED the name of the company (it's phonetic, and not hard at all), which usually means she has no legit business.
Not if they dont know who they called. Id use a whistle. Just as effective but cant seriously damage hearing...just gives them a headache for a little while.
Same thing here. Some guy called and ask for owner. I am i said, cause i am, And when i asked the name of his company 3 times i could not understand his answer. He said he was selling some kind of visa/credit/debit product and asked if i would be available Thursday at 9am for him to come to my place of business. I told him " absolutely not and hung up. But now i think i should have said ok and have the authorities waiting for him in the back.
Just another idiot attempting to waste my time. I google and suspicious number before I even think about answering it & thanks to sites like this, I save myself a lot of aggravation.
I just received this call for the first time today. This is a residential number. I am thinking at one time it may have been a number for a business since all calls I usually receive are for businesses. I never answer. I don't even know why I have a landline.....
Should post their number on a Craig's list type site advertising a iPhone 5 for sell for $30.00 still in box. Let their phone ring off the hook for no reason
