FTP - No idea who they are or what they do....but they are not calling for any legit reason, its a cold call.
An EXTREMELY rude and whiny (it was almost comical) lady called today and asked for John. We have (withing the C-Level alone) 6 Johns. I asked which John she needed.
"Well, the owner of the company."
Red Flag #1 - She doesn't know who she is calling. I answer the phone for a holding company, so there are at least 8 different "owners".
I told her I answer the phone for several companies, and asked her which one was she referring to?
Red Flag #2 - She SLAUGHTERED the name of the company (it's phonetic, and not hard at all), which usually means she has no legit business.
Asks for owner by name, doesn't identify themselves immediately which is always a red flag. Whan asked mumbled something about "Future Pay Technologies". I asked if it was in regards to credit card processing and she mumbled something about merchant services. I was half way through telling her owner not in and can take a message before she hung up on me. These people are all the same. Pathetic.
Caller id said "FPT". I saw on page 6 below this may stand for Future Payment Technologies and someone gave their web address as http://www.futurepaytech.com. This is the first call I received from them and I put them on block.
