FTP - No idea who they are or what they do....but they are not calling for any legit reason, its a cold call.
An EXTREMELY rude and whiny (it was almost comical) lady called today and asked for John. We have (withing the C-Level alone) 6 Johns. I asked which John she needed.
"Well, the owner of the company."
Red Flag #1 - She doesn't know who she is calling. I answer the phone for a holding company, so there are at least 8 different "owners".
I told her I answer the phone for several companies, and asked her which one was she referring to?
Red Flag #2 - She SLAUGHTERED the name of the company (it's phonetic, and not hard at all), which usually means she has no legit business.
They called on my cell number. They did not leave a message. I do not pickup on unknown numbers. I have voicemail asking for name and number if they want a call back.
I am not sure why we list our phones on the Do Not Call register. It seems to beacon unwanted calls! This number does not have an option to be removed from their list nor can it accept messages.
