Foreigner called wanting to talk about my windows computer. Haven't used windows since I was 10. Knew it was a scam call and hung up, blocked number and reported to FTC. DONT ANSWER! SCAM CALL!
Caller-ID = 856-424-7354 - NEW JERSEY --- I just quietly took the receiver off the hook and laid it down on a pillow until I heard the busy signal come on. No one on the other end said a word, nor did I. Perhaps the silence after the second ring will make them think they've reach a machine. Talk to the hand, talk to the hand.
I generally tell them as soon as the word "windows" comes out of their mouths that we just bought all new windows for our house last year and thank therm for calling and hang up.
The caller ID said NewJersey & the #. I knew this was likely a spam call. I had heard a similar scam described, as running through Facebook, with a fake technical support guy offering to synch into a friend's Mac computer. She asked what is the serial # of my computer & he could not answer. So she checked with her real Apple Computer support and learned this was a scam to steal all the private info off her computer!
Back to my caller... A man with a thick East Indian accent, with a pool of other caller's voices in the background spoke, saying he was calling about Windows, on my computer.
I played with something a healer friend taught me. I said in a very angry tone, "let me tell you something. I am a shaman, and know that if you pull a scam or steel money or attempt to, from innocent people like me, it will potentially come back and turn against you one thousand fold, or maybe times a million."
"I know this is a scam, and I beg you to go find a real job, that doesn't scam off and steel from people." I continued.
He politely argued that I had no right to accuse him of bringing a scam. He argued from a few angles. I didn't really care or fall for it!
"I don't have Windows and I know this is a scam. Please take me off your list, and good bye!" I said, as I hung up.
