Reverse look up comes back as both collection agency and NAMI. Calling the number results in an unanswered phone.
I just got one at 9:01 am. I could hear other voices in the background. I said hello twice but got no response and then NAMI hung up. I double-checked everyone's responses so I thought I'd elaborate...

I live in Memphis so I'll try to get by there sometime within the next week and check it out. Maybe someone is trying to run a CA out of a thrift store. What I don't understand is why they would have the same ph# but not answer it. What if someone were calling about the thrift store?
Honestly, if it's a "reputable" (I use that loosely!) collection agency, you might owe. I've been called by one or two others before and they're always about some medical lab bill because the lab personnel don't usually have your up-to-date info. Your Dr's office usually does because you think to tell them but labs are pretty invisible to us as separate entities and they bill separately. I ALWAYS pay my bills on time but there was a dr's office I hadn't been to in awhile. I updated myself AND my husband (since we're separate patients) when we moved but the lab had no idea. For some reason, they don't check with the responsible dr's office either. If a bill isn't paid, they just hand it over to a collection agency because it's cheaper than chasing down non-payers, or so I've been told by a lab billing rep. Really stupid way to retrieve money!
901-458-2010 now displaying as NAMI originally displayed as "Clothing Pick-up" when this number first started calling. I actually reached someone once by calling the number and told them to stop calling me. They called again, that very evening. So I kept calling the number. No answer although sometimes I would get a fax tone. I reported the problem to Bellsouth but of course, they were no help. "Charity" organizations are allowed to call. Why can't we stop them if we don't want them calling? I don't believe they are legitimate because of the ever-changing name displays. And no messages left, no reply to requests for identification, etc. It's probably a canadian scammer using spoofing a local number to try and take advantage of the elderly!
