Ever since Christmas I have been recieving calls from 901-459-2010 "NAMI". When I answer, there is no one there. Very annoying. I called the number (901-725-0305) as directed in "Bradley A. Cobb, Executive Director NAMI Memphis" posting on Dec. 21st, 2007. I was suprised that I reached a very nice woman who seemed sincerely concerned that we were being disturbed. I requested to be removed from their call list, and to be removed from their system. (I have never had any connection with this organization, except I have voluntered with Habitat For Humanity & with MIFA since we moved to Memphis. I wonder if they are sharing volunteer phone numbers with other organizations?) Anyway.....the lady at 901-725-0305 indicated she would contact the call center immediately. We'll see if the calls stop. She seemed very nice (like talking with your grandmother). I hope she/the organization can followthrough with the removal request.
i called 458-2010 directly and was answered by a woman named Ann who claimed she was from the call center clothing collection office in Georgia. I requested that she remove me from their call list since they are constantly waking up my baby. (DO YOU KNOW HOW AGGRAVATING THAT IS??) she stated that i called the memphis office, but since they had an overflow of calls, their calls get transferred to the georgia office. she stated that she would fax a message to the memphis office stating that an irrate customer (since when did i become a customer?) wants to be removed from the call list. I asked her when it would be in effect, and she stated they fax information back and forth. and the next mass fax time was 2pm (east coast time btw). I wrote down all the information, so let's see if they call again. and yes it definitely sounded like there were a hundred so people in the background on the phone. and yes the woman sounded very nice and grandmotherly just like many of you have experienced.
I don't care how much good work they do for who. Enough is enough! After asking multiple times to stop calling, they still do...this morning at 8:05am (which woke up the baby).
