Caller ID was "FINANCIAL CTR". Message left was about: "reducing credit card interest rates to as little as 6% if I owe at least $3000 and one card is in good standing."
They have been calling me for a year. At first it was 2-3 times per day. Now it is once every two weeks. Today they went from my land line to my work cell. It is like the local politician that calls me. I have asked to be put on their do not call list, but they keep calling and calling and calling. So many corporations trying to control your actions to make money off of you.
We are gradually losing control of privacy and erosion of liberties all over the place. Live in a bad neighborhood, you're on camera. Go to the store, you're on camera. Cops have cameras now that can recognize any license plate they pass. They can pick out a stolen car in a parking lot as they pass by or in the moving traffic they are in. Sure would be handy, to keep control, to have a location on every cell phone with GPS capabilities. Oh, that's right, they already have that! And don't bother being creative when you are explaining to an officer how a car accident happened, the black box on your car will tell him the real story.
Same thing happened to me. My husband is a police officer and our phone is registered in his name. They told me that I was funny and everytime they have an Impersonator they send out local law encorcement. It is against the law to impersonate an officer. I said good...go ahead, send them. LOL
Call from 971-220-1032: Automated message prompted to press 1 to lower my credit card rates. I pressed 1 to speak to a live operator, and when I informed them that they had called an U.S. Air Force phone number (which they did), the male operator started singing the YMCA song and called me a "[***] bag". Then the operator said that HE was with the FBI and he was coming to get me. Yes, I'm serious.
I recieved a call today and they were extremely rude. I told them not to call anymore and the lady said not to call her, like I was wanting to talk to her. They were so rude that I just officially reported them to the FCC and made a formal complaint .
Here is the link to report them. The more people do, the more they will have to act!
