Caller ID was "FINANCIAL CTR". Message left was about: "reducing credit card interest rates to as little as 6% if I owe at least $3000 and one card is in good standing."
This number keeps dialing my cell phone with a recording. Per the recorded message, I have selected the do not call prompt; however the calls continue! I have selected #1 also, on more than one occassion, to speak with a representative -- every time I do, the minute I tell the person on the other end to remove my phone number and add to the "Do not call" list, they hang up!!! My number is listed on the federal "Do Not Call Registry"... does that even matter? Obviously, it doesn't seem to make any difference with this group! They want your credit card information!!!
This is one of several scams from 'Account Services'. They want to lower your credit card interest rate! What they are really doing is stealing your credit card information. If you start to tell them to not call, they immediately hang up. I have reported them to the 'DoNotCall' list about 8 times with no positive results. They are probably off-shore and out of U.S. jurisdiction. They might trick 1 in a 1000 people, but that is all it takes to compensate them for their time.
