Like other callers, I got a call from this number at night, claiming that my computer was at risk and about to crash. I refuted and said, nope my computer is fine and do not call again, to which the guy claimed it was 'his civic duty' to help me. LOL! The number is getting reported now. That's terrible.
Been receiving calls from this number and today the dude threatened to cut my throat. Called Centurylink and police to report, will record all future calls. The number that shows up on caller id is bogus. Centurylink has a feature you have to activate to block specific numbers hope this works.
Call blocker is your best bet. Also don't pick up on numbers you don't recognize. You can't stop the call from being initiated since they callers are located in India.
Yes, they can get pretty nasty when you let 'em know that they're scammers and they are not getting one rupee from you.
I always annoy them as much as possible.
Don't worry about their stupid threats; they're located in some call center in northern India. How the world are they going to physically hurt anybody in a western country?
I kept insisting that if they were getting viruses from my pc then they should provide me with my IP address in the email header, of course that couldn't happen and then when I told them it was strange that they were getting windows error messages from an OSX based platform they didn't know what I was talking about. When I asked for his micrsoft employee number since he was calling from them he got pissy.
Caller, with Indian accent, claims to be from Microsoft Technical Department and that your computer has been infected with unwanted software. Caller Asks that you log onto a specific website to allow them to remove this unwanted malware from your computer.
By allowing them to do this, you are granting full access to your computer and all it's files and data. This allows them to hijack your machine to be used for nefarious purposes, steal your personal data, and any other use that they may wish to do.
