Like other callers, I got a call from this number at night, claiming that my computer was at risk and about to crash. I refuted and said, nope my computer is fine and do not call again, to which the guy claimed it was 'his civic duty' to help me. LOL! The number is getting reported now. That's terrible.
Male voice, Indian accented, reporting he was from Microsoft Technical Support. Claimed my computer was sending error reports. He needed to access to my computer to diagnose problem. I hung up after a few terse words. If you get call from 989-366-0199, hang up or better do not answer. Call coming from Houghton Lake, MI or that is what the provider believes.
Have been getting calls from same scammer from this and another number for about a year. They say they are calling about Microsoft, virus or computer problems. They have ignored all requests to take me off list. Yes, coming from a foreign country.
Just called me from Microsoft about a warning on my computer. I thanked him and said it was a police department computer and he hung up. Not doubt a scam but I had to have some fun.
