I also delt with a crook Jack Ryan. They all have English names which are phoney. I got billed on Mastercard without my ok after I let them into my computer and they got my info. They also promised a refund by cheque but I had to send extra money via Western Union because they claimed they had a minimum cheque amount policy. They sucked me in. Nobody should deal with the crooks from Esolving.
I just received a call from this number. When I picked the phone up to answer the call, nobody responded to me "hello." I googled the # and found this. I just called them back and was told by a very heavy accent that it was "John George from Technical Support." No actual company name, nothing that made it seem at all legitimate. I asked him WHY I would receive a call from this number and he said that it was probably because there was an issue with my computer. I told him that I can assure him there is no issues with my computer (I have a background in technical support) and that if I did, I would not be calling some shady place with a Toronto number, I would be calling the company my computer was purchased from. I asked him to take my number off the list or out of the database, wherever he managed to get it from and never call me again. I do not require support and will not be giving them any information to help them make money when I barely have enough to live off as it is.
Long story short - I was able to string along "Mark" from esolving.com for over twenty five minutes this morning. When he eventually wanted me to run a program directly from his web site I told him about write-ups I'd read in the newspaper, articles I'd seen on TV and a warning from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police "about you folks". In his words these reports were "completely rubbish".
He actually tried to make me feel bad about wasting 25 minutes of his time. He asked me if it was "my profession". I think that means more to somebody in India than in Canada.
A prior post made mention of esolving's refusal to remove a telephone number from their calling list. Now that I am a recognized professional time waster I told him that if they called again I'd do my best to waste 30 minutes of their time. I think I made that quite clear to "Mark".
This post ties together previous "mystery numbers" I've received this year. One, among many, was from "V04130300310075" with number "123-456-7890". I logged it as "cute!".
The call prompting *this* post came from "000-000-0000" (not 647-288-1790) from which I've received three calls in the past week but the M.O. is exactly the same. I decided that if I've already invested my time trying *not* to answer their calls I wanted a return on my investment!
I got basically the same call today from INDIA. When I asked his name he replied Rex Williams, I replied Rex Williams is not an indian name, he had a strong accent as well. I also asked for the number he was calling from and this was the # he gave 647-288-1790 and that he was calling from One PC Care but on my display it reads UNKNOWN CALLER so....I asked how he got my name and number... he replied "from Windows" you have all your information there. So I then said " Who is it that you are looking for and what department are you trying to call.....he said is this a business....I said to him...You have reached the POLICE DEPARTMENT and you are being traced at this moment...he said "and what" I said just wait and see, then hung up!!!!!!!! I am so sick of these idiots!!
they caught me at a bad time but when they wanted to get rid of my windows and wanted a life time membership which they kept pushing knew something wasnt right . they kept calling over and over didnt answer. Be very careful everyone they are good at what they do .
I received a call from the # above saying they wanted to check my computer.....since I had already received calls about the same subject, that being my computer, I just said I didn't need to talk to them about it and hung up.
