So I have an account on care.com for dog walking service and got a text message from this number asking met to email her sister who is looking for a dog walker. I emailed and got a response that was very detailed and basically saying they wanted to hire me to walk there two dogs when they moved to this area. They would send a cashier check ahead of time as the dogs might get there before they do and so on.... Well I'm thankfully aware of scams like this and hope this helps someone make the decision that it's to good to be true and they are scamming you for money. Even if your bank accepts the check about 7 days later it will deny it and your bank account can be negative by thousands of dollars. They will try everything to get you to send them money as fast as possible because of this. Be aware! You work hard for your money, don't let people do this to you!!!
Got a call from this number. Had put an app on my phone a couple of days ago. Also shows Dumont, New Jersey. So glad that I did - it blocked the call. I only get notifications that call was blocked.
These a$$hats called and said they were getting reports from my computer. Since I'm a high level system administrator, I decided to waste someone's time. I played dumb, this I-DEE-TEN TEE (idiot) asked me to hit the Windows key and the "R" key, which brings up the run box and type cmd, which invokes the command interpreter. After doodling around with this [***] for about 15 minutes, I got tired of the game and told him I was on a Linux box, then said "'Bhenchod lund fek ke maarunga, poora khaandan chud jayega." Look it up.
How many different numbers do these scammers use? They called me last evening and left no message on my answering machine. I feel sorry for anyone who falls victims to their scam....I'll just have to block this number as well....I have blocked something like 3 other numbers that they were using.
