So I have an account on care.com for dog walking service and got a text message from this number asking met to email her sister who is looking for a dog walker. I emailed and got a response that was very detailed and basically saying they wanted to hire me to walk there two dogs when they moved to this area. They would send a cashier check ahead of time as the dogs might get there before they do and so on.... Well I'm thankfully aware of scams like this and hope this helps someone make the decision that it's to good to be true and they are scamming you for money. Even if your bank accepts the check about 7 days later it will deny it and your bank account can be negative by thousands of dollars. They will try everything to get you to send them money as fast as possible because of this. Be aware! You work hard for your money, don't let people do this to you!!!
They are at it again....this number called me again and I let my answering machine pick up if I don't recognize the number. Of course, they left no message. Nice try scammers! I am blocking this number, but I have no doubt that they will call me back using a different number. They are desperate and a bunch of bottom feeders.....My dad answered one of their calls and he does not have a computer. He decided to play along and the guy got so frustrated with my dad that he hung up, after my dad asked him every question like, what is a mouse or a cursor and nothing is showing up on my home page. He finally then told the guy, sorry I don't think I have the internet....LOL. I would do that if I had time to waste.
I love to have fun with these butt-wipes!!!! I used to let the phone ring and ring.....but now I answer on the first ring "U.S. Attorney's Office. How may I direct your call".......click!!!!!! One time I even had the lady say that the number she dialed must be incorrect & she would remove it from the computer! At night.....I answer with " ** Police Dept., Officer ?? speaking. What is your emergency?"...........have some fun with these crooks.......
They just called me to tell me my windows computer is messed up. Before the heavy accented "Gentleman" could go any further I started asking him questions..... In German! Lol, he didn't want to talk anymore and hung up.
