Called asking for the old CEO who left over 10 years ago. He was "surprised" to hear that. Then asked for the new CEO. I asked what the call was about and he just told me he used to do business with the old CEO and he wanted to chat with the new one. There is no way I would transfer with that information so I sent him to a voicemail. He hung up before the call completed.
Female, asked for the boss from Tucker & Associates, put on hold, asked boss- who said he didn't know them, asked what the call was regarding, female replied "collections" and transferred to controller, female hung up.. seems scammy
Got a call from this number...he asked for my boss and didn't even pronounce my bosses name correctly. Red flag!!!!! I told him he was out of the office for the rest of the week...and the caller got very annoyed and demanded to speak to him before Friday. I told him again, that he was out the rest of the week, and he again demanded to speak to him by Friday, and no later than Monday. I repeated that he was out this week...He was very upset and then asked me for my bosses email, because " he told me to ask you for his email, if I could not speak to him on the phone"...so I put the guy on hold...(in hopes that he would just hang up) and within seconds he hung up and has not called back. Seriously...these people make a living doing these harrassing phone calls...get a life scammers!!!!!!
Called the office number and asked for my boss. Caller was very pushy and rude; I asked who was calling and he gave his name, when I pressed on for more info he said he gave me everything he had but still would not tell me what it was regarding. When he insisted he was returning my bosses call, I let him know that he had not told me that previously. I put the call though knowing full well that my boss would not answer the call if he didn't know who it was. I'm usually pretty good about screening phone calls but this guy is really pushy and I didn't want to find out later that it was legitimate and I didn't handle it well. Next time I know to leave him on hold or simply hang up on him.
The caller is Richardson, Texas-based collection agency Tucker, Albin and Associates, real crucks.
The number 201-427-1969 looks like N.J. number, but it is being forwarded.
They want to offer you their collection services, stupid.
Extremely rude people, just tell them to get lost, that's all.
