Called asking for the old CEO who left over 10 years ago. He was "surprised" to hear that. Then asked for the new CEO. I asked what the call was about and he just told me he used to do business with the old CEO and he wanted to chat with the new one. There is no way I would transfer with that information so I sent him to a voicemail. He hung up before the call completed.
This guy called while my boss was in a meeting and immediately said, "well this is ? from Tucker and he told me to call him" I said really he told you to call him now, cuz he has a weekly meeting at this time?" He got an attitude and said "well around now yeah" and I asked him again where he was calling from and he said "Tucker!" then he said "forget it, ill call his cell phone" and he hung up on me! Very rude and unprofessional!
Called and asked to speak to Bill (my husband, and I are the owners). I asked what is was about, he said he had a note to call. I asked again, same reply! I said what business are you calling from and he hung up!
This guy said his name was David Cooper with Tucker Industries and asked to speak with the owner by name. I told him the owner was in a meeting and asked if he could call Mr. Cooper back. He insisted that our owner left him a message to contact him before lunch. He also said that it was a very important call (bordering on an emergency) regarding the "Gateway" project. My boss had just done some marketing, so I thought it was regarding a new project. I interrupted my boss's meeting, and when he took the call the guy on the other end was so loud and said he was from a collection agency. Fortunately my boss is very smart and simply said "good-bye" and hung up. By the way, Tucker Industries is a legitimate business in Pennsylvania. Just hang up if you get a call from this number!!
