Same nonsense continues. They called me all weekend from various numbers. For example from 425 406 9010 TRIKON comes up on your phone ID. Yes its a con.
When they call there is a 5-10 second initial pause then you are talking to India. All bogus to generate a false sense that you have computer problems. They state normal problems, then they try to sell you a junk file clean up service $$$ you don't need. Extreme heavy accent. The guy said his name was "Patrick" what a joke. At least he had the "trick" right. You can hear them pause in between as they read off a script. Ask them you want to call them back, they will give you 1877 - 77- 89298 which is an Indian phone sequence not how people in the USA describe phone numbers.
Ask them American-only questions since they sometimes claim they are in state of Washington. Ask them about a famous USA Mountain, Highway, College in the state they are supposedly living at. Ask them a sports question who won the World Series - all they know is cricket. Have fun with these crooks, ask them their favorite current TV shows since they only get old USA TV shows over there. Ask them what is FEMA, the IRS, the Jersey Shore, the price of Gasoline (in gallons not in liters), a club sandwich, Popeye's Chicken, etc.. Good luck and string these clowns along. Enjoy!
Put them on a speaker phone and invite your friends over later for a "follow-up call" and have a blast with these jokers. Schedule your next party around these guys.
These people are now calling to say that they are calling in re:guards to my court case and that if I don't return the call they wish me luck in the proceedings against me. The woman who calls has a very heavy middle eastern accent and they call several times a day. I refused to answer
Caller asked for me by name, said he was called John and wanted me to start my computer and presumably trick me into installing malware or some other form of trickery. I got a return phone number from them of 1-877-77-89298.
