RS does not file lawsuits. Tax disputes are civil matters. 90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively. IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job. IRS does not cold call anyone and all contacts are initiated by US mail.
We received a call from "the IRS" threatening law suit for unpaid taxes. Called back and asked some questions to the rude responder pretending to be an IRS agent. Only wish I could have confronted him in person.......Smelled like a scam right off, but it was troubling to my wife.
Initially received a call from 215-455-4561 which left an automated message stating that "the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you, and that you should call this number:" 206-973-3241. We Googled that number and found that it is a total scam. Warn your friends, family, and neighbors about these [***].
recieved call and told me I owed 5k! then started calling my honey and asking what I had for lunch!! I hung up, he called back and I said I looked up your number and you are a scammer, he said oh honey I not scam you anymore I just like your voice! You want to get married??? lol! Hung up and he called back a 3rd time! I did not answer!!
