RS does not file lawsuits. Tax disputes are civil matters. 90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively. IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. There is no 451 area code or country code in the North American Numbering Plan assigned in the United States, Canada, or any other country or territory that follows that plan. It's just a spoofed number that feeds you into their "closer" by telling you to dial the number 206-973-3241.
If you answer the original call, you will be able to converse with a scammer, but if you try to call him back on the fake number appearing on your caller ID, you won't be able to do so.
Caller said this is your final notice . There is a lawsuit being filed against you. You must pay $4880.00 now or go to jail and loose everything you have. He gave his name as Ronnie Cooper, badge #157894. I told him I wasn't paying him anything and didn't owe the IRS. He said you are going to jail and hung up. It's really a shame because someone is really going to fall for this scam not really knowing its a scam.

Basically they will ask you to get a bunch of Green dot money paks and give them the numbers. After that your money is gone. They are essentially hard core extortionists. They rely on cold calls, people's ignorance or IRS procedures and fear. They tend to pick on women, single mothers, the elderly and members of the immigrant community. They have some of your financial and personal information. The calls are not random.
