It was just blank air. I hung up. I am on the Do Not Call List. We also don't ever receive calls on this phone except for the occasional telemarketer, so I was suspicious. Sure enough that's what it was.
This number has been calling for days. When I answer, there's a delay until it connects to a live person with the dreaded Indian accent. Claims he's from "Windows Operating System". "Sure you are," I reply, "and I'm from the planet Vulcan."
Just received a call from this number. Someone with a very heavy East Indian accent said they were calling me from Microsoft to tell me about problems with my computer. I said No, you're not. I will report you and give your number to the BBB. Don't call me again and hung up!
Claims to be tech support. As soon as she started talking I hung up. Have not gotten a call from that number; however, I did receive a call from another 213 number: 213-940-1370.
Any Number you do not recognize on your Landline or your Cell are most likely trying to verify working numbers to sell the list of valid numbers to scammers, marketers or pollsters. Sometimes they are the scammers that bought the list and are pretending to be Microsoft. Don't answer, or just block the numbers.
got two calls today from this number. Same as above comments. these guys are scammers. told them I was going to report them to police dept.; and then hung up
