It was just blank air. I hung up. I am on the Do Not Call List. We also don't ever receive calls on this phone except for the occasional telemarketer, so I was suspicious. Sure enough that's what it was.
Got a call at 3:00 PM from this number. Guy had a middle eastern accent, said his name was max. Same thing that I had downloaded a virus and he was from Microsoft operating systems and if I'd get on my computer he would help me fix it ( right). He claimed he was stationed in Alvins Tx, lots of background noise. Told him my computer wasn't even on and he insisted that I turn it on. He even read off my name and address and my wife's name. I've had calls like this before so I knew what was up, will pass this number on to my MIL and family to watch out for.
I have been receiving calls from this number and another number 213-940-1370 at least 5 - 6 times per day for the past
2 weeks, beginning at 8 am. A few times I answered and a person with a strong middle east accent identifies as a tech support from Windows or Microsoft - telling me they can fix a problem with my computer - I either tell them I know they are a scam or hang up they keep calling so today I blocked them ...They were driving us nuts...I wish there was some way to
stop what seems to be their illegal activity.
