It was just blank air. I hung up. I am on the Do Not Call List. We also don't ever receive calls on this phone except for the occasional telemarketer, so I was suspicious. Sure enough that's what it was.
Typical Indian boiler room telling me about the imaginary problem being reported to their server and trying to get them to give them remote access to my computer. So I messed with them for about 20 minutes and they passed me to the senior technician on the floor, he told me that several times - I was so impressed. So I messed with shim for a bit also. Then I asked if I could speak to a female technician, and they said they did not have any. And then he went on a rant about the inferiority of women, how they cannot understand technology etc, it was pretty funny. So I made some comments about his mother etc and bid him goodbye. All in all, it was a rather fun call and got me through a very boring meeting.
Just got a call from this number outside of FTC approved hours (7:45 am). The woman had a heavy accent and said she was calling from the technical department for my Windows computer. Asked the company name and she just repeated her line about being from the technical department. I told her that was bogus because I don't own a Windows computer and it was too early for her to call per FTC guidelines and she hung up on me. Tried to call back to get info and file complaint, but the number is apparently not a working number...
If I have trouble with my computer, I will take it to a reputable computer repair shop. I certainly don't want you, a scammer calling my home regarding my computer. If you call again from any number, I will file a lawsuit!!!
