Call from Cleveland, OH; suspecting telemarketer, i didn't answer. No voicemail message was left. Am grateful for clarifications on this site, confirming my suspicion.
I don't answer calls without caller id. BUT sometimes it is fun to F--K with them. keep them on the phone for a few minutes and then tell them "thank you, we now have your location and have notified local authorities. Or answer your cities name followed by police dept, homicide, keep them on the phone and ask how they know the murder victim who's phone they just called.
Total scam...they claim to be from Microsoft. The only reason I gave them consideration was because my computer indeed crashed two days ago. I asked if they're calling about my desktop or laptop and they couldn't answer. Very heavy accent despite being from "Ohio". When I refused their instruction, they got insulting and pushy. I think Microsoft is techno-savvy enough to send a message through WIndows or email instead of the old-fashion phone.
Got this call. I answered "Hit pay dirt with k-dirt" Normally i get a hang up. Not this time. Some lady, thick accent telling me something is wrong with my computer. I asked "which one?" She was talking so fast in her accent that i couldn't understand one word. So i told her if she wasn't from the radio station and i didn't win anything i wasn't interested in what she was saying and hung up.
