Call from Cleveland, OH; suspecting telemarketer, i didn't answer. No voicemail message was left. Am grateful for clarifications on this site, confirming my suspicion.
In the past two days I've received 10+ calls. Male callers with heavy East Indian accents. First caller, stated his name and I'd swear he said he was with the National Security Agency. When I declined his support becameffff very rude. I was forced (only sorry I didn't have an air horn handy) to hang up without a good bye.
They will probably call MORE if you ask "be taken off the list," or demand to speak with a supervisor, or cuss them out. They figure that you don't realize they're criminals and that you might be a little gullible if you do those.
