Call from Cleveland, OH; suspecting telemarketer, i didn't answer. No voicemail message was left. Am grateful for clarifications on this site, confirming my suspicion.
SCAM CALLER: Caller from this number 3-22-2017 at 4:44 PM PDST was a male with an Indian accent. Said he was getting notices from my computer (which was off) and wanted me to access it. Represented himself as customer service for Microsoft computers. This is a total scam. Do not give any info about your computer. Do not give anyone at this number access to your computer. Usual outcome is you pay a lot of money for help, and you get a virus or other dangerous software put on your computer. NEVER accept help from a random caller. Microsoft will never call you regarding your computer unless you have called them first. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE AT THIS PHONE NUMBER. This web site does not have a SCAM category, so I left their default Unknown because they offer no accurate description for scammers.
