My caller said he was from "WINDOWS Support" not Microsoft. There is a difference. Microsoft is trademarked, copyrighted etc. windows is not and can't be. Anyone can say they work for windows, Microsoft is a different story.
He got all huffy when I called hin a "pakistani scammer". In retrospect his English was so good he is probably Filippino.
With unknown caller ID numbers, I usually answer the call with my business name. Guy with thick Indian accent spoke after a short pause (probably a slydial), and asked for my wife by name. I told him this was a place of business and how could I help him. He mumbled purposely my business name and hung up. About a minute later, I received the call again with no sound coming from that end. I asked to be taken off the calling list then a computer generated female voice responded with "goodbye" and disconnected.
