Got a call from them for the past 3 days. Called it back once, they won't tell you who is suing you. They give you 3 options, pay off your debt, do a monthly payment which is more or go to court. It's a scam.
This is a laughable "collection" call that was left on my text to voicemail...same as above with one exception...I called them back telling them how scared I was at and that I was so, so afraid! What can I do to stop this? Then I went serious and told them to never call me again with their scammy BS...these calls are not legit so don't worry about it. I would suggest flipping on them and harassing them right back...Inundate them with calls, make it a game, enjoy yourself, relieve some stress!
I received a voicemail with the same message most of you have mentioned. A woman says "this is a message for ____" and never states who she is calling for. She then says she is calling to complete an order for several pending matters I am currently being investigated for. She never says who she is, what company she works for, what the matters are, or who she is looking for. Then, like others here have stated here, she says for me to call back and make reference to case number _____. No number is ever given and the call ends.
We received a phone call like this today as well; said they were representing a payday loan company and we owed interest. They could not give me a date because they said they could only reveal it to my attorney. I received this call before and the bank told me it was just a phisshing expedition.. Threatened they were going to serve me and when I told him what the bank said, he said what makes you think that??. I am glad I am not the only one who experienced this and thank everyone for the warning. I guess we'll all just wait to be served.
I called back and they answered with the name CMS.They thought I was my mothers ex husband.I told them no and they said they are removing my number.Didnt ask for any info.I think they are a legit collector.
Scammers. This number called me multiple times while I was at work. I called back and asked what they wanted. The lady who answered told me to hold on while she connected me to the rep working my case. I held on and then the same lady answered and started going on about a multi million dollar lawsuit. I asked her if she was the same person I just spoke to and didn't she say someone else was my rep. She became angry and said yes she was but she had to help since my rep was busy. I started asking more questions about this supposed million dollar lawsuit that little old me was somehow wrapped up in. She became even angrier the more questions I asked and then hung up on me. Do not pay these crooks any of your money. One big scam.
