Called me and I foolishly gave them info on my card, then called my card company to stop my card and issue another, just had a feeling that they were not on the level. Then discovered all these comments, glad I stopped my card!!
A few minutes ago, my land-line rang. I was on a ladder replacing a light bulb and I scrambled down to pick up the phone, tripped, and banged my knee. The "call" had been from 321-507-3218 and there was no message. I had a feeling this was a scam "phishing" call, so I got on line to check it out and, sure enough, I was right. I hope this isn't going to be a repeat of a series of "phishing" calls that plagued my family for several weeks last year!
I had received a series of calls like this from a different number - this is the first time I have seen this number pop up but it was for "lowering my debt" or something. I pressed the button to talk to someone to get myself removed from the call list and the person mumbled a curse at me and hung up.
I tried to call the number back but of course was not able to get anywhere with it.
I am not sure what this is about but I would like these calls to stop.
I received call from 321-507-3218 - Supposedly they were going to lower credit card interest. I ask them what was company name what bank are they with? what credit card are they calling about? they said they monitor all my visa master cards that have Card Member Services on them. i ask if i could call them back - got no direct answer - said i must act today - ask when they could call me back - i kept asking why was their a time limit - couldn't seem to get an answer to that, that made any since. They final just hung up.
Certainly do not give them any information - if I can spare the time I'm going to have some fun with them if they call me again - see how much time i can suck up....
