My mom received a call today and the Caller ID was 911-243-390-8000. I realize this is too many digits but that is what showed up on her phone. The posts in this forum are similar to the ones I experienced today as I intercepted the call and spoke with these jokers instead of my elderly mother. They also wanted to "confirm" by having her list her address (she just moved so they had the wrong one) and confirm her bank account routing numbers! As soon as I said that I wanted to do some research on this they said to take all the time we needed. When I asked for their toll free number to call them back they refused to give me a number since the 24 hour toll free number "was for cardholders only". Since they said my mother was already a cardholder earlier in the call and that they needed to send her a new card, I busted them right then and there. I told them my next call would be to the police.
Recieved call just 15 mins. ago. Scam looking for verification of banking and personal information. Targeting elderly. Do not give any info at all! Do not even reply at all! 1-347-418-0487--Using update of (Medicare) card to entice. BEWARE!!!
