Received call 11/17/12, caller with heavy accent wanted to verify my banking information, mailing address, they were going to send me a new social security care
Same as most other calls, wanted to verify bank info she ratteled off several sets of numbers and when I told her they were not on my account, she ask me to read the numbers from left to right, told her i wouldn't and that I thought this was a scam she hung up.
11/17/12 Woman with heavy accent, could hardly understand her called, said she was from social security, is going to send a new medicare card. Wanted the name of my bank, I told her I don't give out that information, and that if she was really from social security, she could send me a letter stating the request.
I'm really upset that people do that. I hung up on her, as she was still talking. Thanks for letting me vent. I called my friends and gave them this number, and told them it is a scam.
Received phonecall today 11/17 from Middle eastern sounding woman who could hardly speak English-said erveyone is getting new medicare card - knew my name, address and phone before she could get any further I hung up on her - I guess this is a scam.
