Got a call from 409-574-1214 today, didn't answer it waited for a voice message . All you could hear was voices in background and left no message. They wouldn't have wanted to talk to me anyway.
I just received that call from man with accent. Kept mentioning National Medical Office. I asked 3 times
what insurance co. are you representing when he kept jabbering I said Bull-S---! & hung up. Just because I am 81---doesn't mean I'm that stupid!!
Man with Indian accent called two times on Dec. 3. First time, I just answered and hung up when I realized it was not someone I knew. Second time, I answered and he said he was calling to say I was getting a new SS card. He called me by name, although hard to understand. Then he asked if XXX was my address. He had everything correct including city and zip. Then he said he had to know exactly what my name was on the card. I said, "NO! You know that!" Then he immediately hung up! Big Scam.
Could the Gov actually supply us with fake medicare #'s? Then when the bad guys try to cash in they could sting them? Seems simple to me. Have bait info like this available on the .gov no call site, create a systematic response for when the bait is taken. This would work well for the card services scam.
