By calling the POLICE (I hope NOT 911). What would you being saying to them (as to the nature of your call)?
"aaahhh, Hello, POLICE DEPT:......
It’s almost midnight and I just now got a phone call from someone (i.e. a solicitor)trying to sell me a newspaper subscription from the SF Chronicle and I want to make a complaint because they shouldn't be calling people this late at night." etc, etc...
By calling the police, it would fall into the same category as to this story:
LIKE THE RECORDING OF A PERSON WHO HAD CALLED 911 because....
there was a spider in there house and the person calling, feared spiders, and they were afraid it was going to bite them and wanted the spider out of there house.....
Same comments as other posts. Very hard to ignore. 2-3 calls a day and in my case, this has gone on since last April. But, my mother always said that Patience was a virtue, so i'll continue to ignore.
Called tonight at 8:43pm when I was walking my dog. Wanted to know my zip code so that they could send a free 8 week trial of the Chronicle. Told the guy to please take my name off of their list. He was nice, so I'm hoping he complied.
Called me at around 8:30pm tonight (9/19/2008). Didn't get to the phone in time. When I called back, it said Turnkey solutions, and that the voicemail box was full. Did a search on the number and found that I am definitely not the first one! Never will answer that number again.
They Called my cell phone at 7:08Pm from (415)691-4608... good to see I am not the only one... I called them back a recorded message said that their VM box was full and it was from a company called Turnkey Solutions... any other news...
