By calling the POLICE (I hope NOT 911). What would you being saying to them (as to the nature of your call)?
"aaahhh, Hello, POLICE DEPT:......
It’s almost midnight and I just now got a phone call from someone (i.e. a solicitor)trying to sell me a newspaper subscription from the SF Chronicle and I want to make a complaint because they shouldn't be calling people this late at night." etc, etc...
By calling the police, it would fall into the same category as to this story:
LIKE THE RECORDING OF A PERSON WHO HAD CALLED 911 because....
there was a spider in there house and the person calling, feared spiders, and they were afraid it was going to bite them and wanted the spider out of there house.....
Called here too at the same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!
That is to say, the exact time of as for others and the typical hangup with no message(s).
Apparently the phone number is originating from Belvedere/Tiburon, CA.
About 15 North of San Francisco in Marin County.
Could be from
- a Vallejo Times Herald newspaper solicitor
- a San Ramon Valley Times newspaper solicitor
- a San Francisco Chronicle newspaper solicitator
- Turnkey Solutions
Got two calls this weekend on my business phone. One at 8:50pm 05/23, one at 7:05pm 05/26. I wasn't at the phone so not sure what they were for, but my e-phone software logged the call history.
I got the call today from the same # @ 8:00pm I missed the call and didn't know who it was from so I looked up in the Phone# search and it said
Type: Land Line
Provider: Time Warner Telcom
Location: Belvedere (Marin), CA
i got a call from this number at around 8pm today. i called back, heard one ring, then a response from a machine saying "you have reached _______ solutions". i wasn't sure what i heard at that blank part. i searched up the number thinking it was probably some sort of business, and this site was the first that came up from the results. i'm glad it did because now i know they're probably a scam. i guess i'm going to have to ignore their call if they do call back again, although i'm really hoping they're not...
