By calling the POLICE (I hope NOT 911). What would you being saying to them (as to the nature of your call)?
"aaahhh, Hello, POLICE DEPT:......
It’s almost midnight and I just now got a phone call from someone (i.e. a solicitor)trying to sell me a newspaper subscription from the SF Chronicle and I want to make a complaint because they shouldn't be calling people this late at night." etc, etc...
By calling the police, it would fall into the same category as to this story:
LIKE THE RECORDING OF A PERSON WHO HAD CALLED 911 because....
there was a spider in there house and the person calling, feared spiders, and they were afraid it was going to bite them and wanted the spider out of there house.....
The phone number is from Belvedere, Ca. About 15 North of S.F. Judging from everyone else's post, it's a telemarketer. Any time you receive phone calls after 6:30 pm, it's sales.
That should be all you need for the Do Not Call List.
I just got a call from them, I think it's better not to call back as I think it may be a telephone number search program, similiar to email searches that record those numbers that call back or answer... Anyway, it sure is strange and annoying. By the way, the call came to me around 8:30 pm as well (8:35 according to my computer...).
what do we all have in common, or trying to not think about? I just answered this caller with a different tone(9:00pm pacific time) and after 5 second pause I heard a hesitant "hello" before I hung up. Yea I called back and it too was busy the 1st time. Do me!
I just got this call and called it back and it's busy the last 5 times I tried to call it. I can't believe all these other people have searched and come up with the same thing. How annyoying! Does anyone know what I can do?
