Just received a recorded message from the "IRS" about a pending court case. No mention of my name, state, or what it
was about. I was suppose to call the local courthouse and call the number 425-298-9553. I did neither. I got on google
and checked on the number. I found this site and was glad it was nothing but a scam. Seems like they like to call on a
holiday, it is Halloween today. Sick people!
We received a call similar to these making claims of a pending law suit. We did not call back but rather checked to see what scams were being reported. This site confirms our suspicions.
Received an automated voice message on Oct 22nd at 11:55am from 425 298-9553 (Washington area) stating that a lawsuit was filed on my name and I should return the call or it will go to the local county courts. I did not return the call -- assumed it was a scam (confirmation on this website). Thanks.
Just had the same experience. Aman called my home with a thick accent asking for my husband by his nickname which is not on any legal document. He threatened he was calling the local sheriff's office. Good luck!
