Just received a recorded message from the "IRS" about a pending court case. No mention of my name, state, or what it
was about. I was suppose to call the local courthouse and call the number 425-298-9553. I did neither. I got on google
and checked on the number. I found this site and was glad it was nothing but a scam. Seems like they like to call on a
holiday, it is Halloween today. Sick people!

•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

My mother got a call several times saying that it was the IRS and they were naming her in a lawsuit. She called back a few times till she finally found out they were calling for me and he asked if she would give him my personal phone number to reach me. She said no, told him I don't live with her anymore, had my own house and family and that she would give his number to me to call him directly. On November 25th I called from my work phone and left a message to call me back there. He called right back, wanted my personal phone number I told him I would not give him that information and wanted to know what this call was regarding. He asked again for my number and I said the same thing and asked him why he was trying to reach me. He hung up. I'M THINKING THIS IS A SCAM!
Got the same robo message too, plus this number keeps showing up on my caller id. bout tired of it but glad to know I didn't fall for it and hopeful that no one does. Hope all had a happy, safe, and fraud-free turkey day, and that this looser had his giblets grilled :)
