Just received a recorded message from the "IRS" about a pending court case. No mention of my name, state, or what it
was about. I was suppose to call the local courthouse and call the number 425-298-9553. I did neither. I got on google
and checked on the number. I found this site and was glad it was nothing but a scam. Seems like they like to call on a
holiday, it is Halloween today. Sick people!
These jackals need to be processed to the full extent of the law. They and all scammers need some serious jail time in a very violent prison. Maybe then this crap will stop. Please report the call you receive to your state attorney general.
At 9am, I received a recorded message on my house phone with the same about Sheriff and law suit has been filed. Wanted me to call the number. Thank goodness, this website exists. What happened to the Do Not Call List and all the lists that prohibit these pieces of garbage from calling. It is a frightening phonecall. These people should be traced, identified and prosecuted.
Caller left voice mail message. Beginning was cut off but it mentioned a "lawsuit has been filed on your name." Then asks for a call back before they take legal action. The caller sounded like an automated male voice. It was a good human imitation with no apparent accent.
Left three messages on home machine on November 5th stating there was a pending lawsuit in my name and I would be taken to local court. Figured it was a scam and found this website when I typed in the number. I'll wait for the sheriff to serve the papers!
A call from this number was received this morning. There was a robotic voice saying it was the IRS and that we will be sued in local court and that we must call the number back before it goes to court. I called back and the man answering indicated he was "Rav" or something from the IRS. He had a thick Indian accent, or maybe Pakistani. There were many voices in the background. This man Rav knew my wife's name based on caller ID. He wanted to know my name. I told him I will call FBI. This is the IRS calling scam. FBI referred me to file a report with US Treasurer Inspector General Tax Administration at tigta.gov
