Just received a recorded message from the "IRS" about a pending court case. No mention of my name, state, or what it
was about. I was suppose to call the local courthouse and call the number 425-298-9553. I did neither. I got on google
and checked on the number. I found this site and was glad it was nothing but a scam. Seems like they like to call on a
holiday, it is Halloween today. Sick people!
I received 2 automated calls (one went to voice mail and one I picked up) that a lawsuit was filed in my name at the courthouse and that I was to call this number back. I Googled the number (425-298-9553) and found this website. Thanks to all those who write in!!
I got one today saying he was from the IRS and that I had been red flagged and been audited from 2008-20012 and that I owed almost $5000.00 and they were going to freeze my bank account, my passport, credit cards etc. Now while I was writing this they called me AGAIN!!!!! With the recording of the other scam you spoke about first. So I called the number back got the answering machine (I really was hoping to speak to that obnoxious man) and race them an ear full. What jerks!
I had a call from the same guy. He was very pushy and rude. The more I questioned him the ruder he became and the more threats he thru out. I got the call about the IRS and while I was replying to someone a few minutes ago got the second call about a law suit.
