I received a call today from "Windows Technical Support" with a very thick foreign accent. I informed the caller that this is the United Sates of America & I only accept calls from people who speak English. He hung up - really hurt my feelings! The caller ID read Eugene OR.
RoboCall (caller ID said Eugene OR) --- This guy has a strong accent - either Hispanic or Asian. He said he's from the IRS (people are getting ripped off) - and said to call him back at 201-234-8573. I'm waiting for a call-back from the police dept. NEVER respond to any phone calls OR emails OR letters in the mail --- from anyone. Professional companies NEVER call u on the phone. If ur not sure, find the company's phone # and call that number to inquire. Lots of scammers!!!!!
458 201 2021 is a scam call from India - got several calls over the past couple of days -- I want to be my usual nice self BUT just want to say
'stop it you filthy, dirty, scamming, ugly, cheating, stealing low-life, scums of the earth that want to steal life from hard working people.....I work too hard for someone like you and your dirt level slime to have access to what I work hard for....
The Do Not Call is actually a voluntary idea for companies that ARE legitimate to check. Given the popularity of VOIP devices it's very easy to "spoof" or downright steal a number and use it from anywhere in the world. Do Not Call is great, but only if someone is going to do things the legitimate way. The FCC and DNCall have no way to go after numbers that calling from all over the world (admittedly most from Philippines, India (Bangalore hot spot) and Russia) and not using a telecom service to call.
