I've just reported this to Bank of America. It is a confirmed scam, and they are investigating it. This number "469-201-7025" called me at 7am this morning to say they are "Card Member Services". When I pressed them for a company name, since "Card Member Services" as a generic term, not a company name, they said they are with "FIA". FIA is an actual company, but this number is only using this other company's name ILLEGALLY> IT IS A COMPLETE SCAM. My bank--Bank of America--confirmed that you should never give your info out over the phone. If this was legit, and it really was Bank of America, they would be able to look up your account with the last 4 digits only. And also, they would never be calling you unsolicited in the first place. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR INFORMATION OR YOU WILL BE A VICTIM OF THEFT. PLEASE REPORT THIS NUMBER TO YOUR BANK SO THEY CAN BEGIN THE INVESTIGATION TO SHUT THIS DOWN!!!!!!!
Called my cell on Dec 4, 2009 at 4pm. I answered, but no one responded. I did a search on the number and am kinda of surprised that so many people have had issues with this number. It's entirely possible i've been called by this number before. This is the first time I thought to do a search on it, though.
After reading, I will be much more wary of this number.
For all of you getting calls at an unreasonable time, or getting calls after a cease and desist letter. These are 1000 dollar fines this creditor must pay you if you file a suit.
