I've just reported this to Bank of America. It is a confirmed scam, and they are investigating it. This number "469-201-7025" called me at 7am this morning to say they are "Card Member Services". When I pressed them for a company name, since "Card Member Services" as a generic term, not a company name, they said they are with "FIA". FIA is an actual company, but this number is only using this other company's name ILLEGALLY> IT IS A COMPLETE SCAM. My bank--Bank of America--confirmed that you should never give your info out over the phone. If this was legit, and it really was Bank of America, they would be able to look up your account with the last 4 digits only. And also, they would never be calling you unsolicited in the first place. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR INFORMATION OR YOU WILL BE A VICTIM OF THEFT. PLEASE REPORT THIS NUMBER TO YOUR BANK SO THEY CAN BEGIN THE INVESTIGATION TO SHUT THIS DOWN!!!!!!!
I have received two calls from an unknown number on my cell phone, the number is 469-201-7025. One on April 20th 2010 at 7:13PM and no message left and one on today April 21st, 2010 and no message left. I did not answer either call.
Did not pick up the phone and saw no ID and no Message left. You know, I am so sick and tired of people wanting to know me. First, you are told, as a kid DO NOT talk to stranger’s people you do not know. So whom do you really know or “want to know about”? Some friends will play harmless office jokes or turn your private information into tools to make you sweat. So in turn, we try not to let them know their getting to us. In today’s high tech world, people will use almost anything to move ahead and in front of you. Here are a few examples: A meeting in the morning with the boss and your phone want stop ringing all night. Nevertheless, you get through the meeting and then there are some who call and do not say a word. Some will dial a number with the Headquarters’ are code showing or a help line number. At times, you want to call the police, then you think Police reports, time in-court, and they want your phone number (which becomes a public record and more unwanted calls). Then you ask yourself how important this phone joker is. You have put your number on 800 DO NOT CALL Government list, (https://www.donotcall.gov/ ) but you still get a call and no one is on the other end, so what is up with that. Then you have information about yourself all over the internet. Just look at almost any county website and checkout property, or court records, all of it is free and open to everyone. Next, you learn a few things like programming the unwanted number into your contact list with a special ringer or not. Some will say people have the right to know and that is true. However, you do not have to give in with every question, asked. What if someone called out-of-the-blue and asked for your SSN, would you give it to them? We all have to protect our self in some way; some call it street wise, use your head, and protect yourself and the ones you love. After 2001, people can now track you by your cell phone, do you care is the question.
NOW READ THE TWO LINKS below and help yourself protect yourself.
