Man claimed to have spoken with an executive who has been overseas for a couple of years now. When I said that he wasn't here, he acted surprised, reiterating that he'd talked to him just last week (an old ruse). He requested the new number, I refused, he started to give me a hard time but then hung up.
They called several times, after ignoring initially, however, I finally gave in and answered the third phone call, which was over a three day span. The voice on the other end of the line was a male, whom claimed to be selling gold and stocks, blah, blah, blah. After thanking them for calling and saying that I am not interested, I hung up. Not five seconds after that, I received a call back from the same person, whom called me an "[***]" in a very arrogant tone and then dared me to hang up again. Funny part about it, the reception of the call was so terrible, most of the belligerent words were fading in and out, so he actually sounded like a moron and unarticulate. Sad people have to be this way. Kill them with kindness every time.
Called and asked for the owner by name. I politely asked who was calling and he said some name I've forgotten from Aegis. Since they call on a regular basis, I did my usual "Please hold while I transfer you" and then put him on ignore. He stayed on hold a surprisingly long time before he figured out he wasn't going to get anywhere.
We're on the west coast and we DO NOT answer these out of area phone calls. Actually, we have almost all of NY city/adjacent area codes blocked. These criminals also call from their 212 806-6300 number. All blocked forever.
Purchase a blocker folks - the only way to exterminate these vermin.
