This evening, April 23, 2013 at 6:10, I got a call that was a recorded message about lowering my interest rate on my credit cards. My caller ID said, "Lower Interest" and the message did not state the name of the caller. I had a similar call yesterday about 4:00 pm about lowering my mortgage rate even though I don't have a mortgage.
These callers are criminals. Homeland Security should be tracking down these people who can obviously access all of our phones instead of looking for shampoo smugglers on planes. CC
It's Verizon and all the other phone companies that have allowed spoofing of numbers. I bet they can do something about this. After all, there are apps that allow someone to send a text message under someone else's account. I've seen this on the People's Court where a defendant said he didn't send a particular text message, and it was proved that he indeed might not have because of this app. We should all complain to our representatives* about the phone companies not stopping this. They must be making some money from it and that's why they won't unless required to. *I asterisked 'representatives' because I used the word for understanding, not because they are representing us; they are only representing their own individual interests (obviously).
