You contact the FTC - not FCC. FTC is going after these scammers. It is the FTC do not call list - FTC has been taking down groups of these scammers like this . In fact, the Wyoming Attorney General along with the FTC and DOJ has or will be filing charges against these companies in Wyoming. So use the FTC "do not call" complaint on line. It does take this seriously and WSJ reported awhile ago FTC has filed numerous complaints. FTC can also get numbers shut down but it would rather use people as bait to give phony information and track these often spoofed numbers.
Followup to my previous post. The Company Is LUCRE, Inc. in GRan Rapids, MI. It's regfular phone number has been disconnected. It's telecom carrier cut off its service and LUCRE went to Federal court which upheld telecom's decision. Service cut off likely because the legitimate telecom carrier was getting complaints. The number used is probably a spoofed number. BBB ha sblack listed this company. Likely FTC is investigating because I have received several calls all with the same recording but different numbers. So, the long and short of it -- takes time to complain but I always complain to FTC and legitimate telecom carrier if I can find it. The carrier usually disconnects the number. Also as I did fro a similar scammer operating 2 blocks from the Wyoming Attorney General's office I willl check and see if state is taking any action. Spoke with an assistant attorney general who said she is handling the case along with FTC and Justice/FBI - it is or can be a Federal case because it is classified as interstate wire fraud. So everyone just take a few minutes in the day and make the complaints. Agencies are cracking down on there crooks.
