I set up an appointment & picked late afternoon so they would get caught in rush hour. A local guy shows up and hands me a card for Monarch Builders (CA Entity Number: C3621536) with a contractors license number on it. I told him I was expecting someone from Superb Builders (CA Entity Number: C3520533). He said it was the same company and showed me a bunch of pre-printed folios that contained their insurance, license number and other stuff. I don't get one of those until I sign a contract. Now I have enough to take them to court.
I just received a similar call from the same number (650) 262‑1906, except his name is now Jim Martin. He asked if I needed any work done around the house and he told me he spoke to me in the spring and I asked him to call back. I told him we do not need ANY work done on our house and that I'm 100% certain I wouldn't have asked him to call back. I asked him to take us off his calling list and he said "No can do!" and hung up. Extremely rude. I've now blocked this number and I was already on the no call list. He did address me by my last name.
Another call from this number. A voice in the background, very faint but it sounded like he asked by name. No response when I said I couldn't hear. I usually don't answer until I recognize number but was expecting another call and ID didn't show up.
I have asked this number not to call when he previously called.
This person called my number, suspecting that it was a land line, even though it has been a cell number for almost four years now. No message was left and when I called back the number had been changed. This person, whoever he (she?) may be, is not worth the time of day.
