This is clearly a scam. Caller said her name was Annie Johnson. Her accent was incredibly thick, and she spoke in seriously broken English. Dept of Legal Affairs my a$$...
Just got one of these calls. Had our name, maybe more. The caller sounded South African (could be indian, but there was a Australian / south african hint to the accent) the fake name was "Adrienne Boston" or Adrienne Raulston ...
I called back and it sounded like he was asleep (2 pm PST would be around 2am in India).
We were with anthem blue cross during the hack, wondering if the information came from that hack.
Tonight we too received a call from Andrew Hall @ 760-335-6113 Department of Legal Affairs with US Treasury. Said he had final notification of legal action that was started under our name and even suggested that we have our attorney call them for us. We didn't call back but, we did report this number to the "Do Not Call List"...
Got a call from this number today. I asked him who he was and he gave me the same runaround as everybody else. I could barely understand him, so I told him to speak English so I could understand him. He then replied with "Hey a**hole, suck my d*ck mother f***er and hung up. I laughed at him as he hung up. Called him back and mocked him word for word, to which he hung up on me. lol.
Received a voice message from 760-335-6113. Caller claimed to be "John Edwards" from the "Department of Legal Affairs". He said claims (I think) were taken against my name and to call back his number at 760-335-6613. Caller had a heavy Indian accent. I could not make out the entire voice message, but this is definitely a scam artist.
