Just recieved one of these from Eugene Baker claiming I owed $1400, except it came by email. Never had any loan with CashAdvance USA. They threatened me as if they were the law. Wrote me my rights in print as if they were arresting me. Fortunately, I have Legal Shield with fraud protection. This [***] better start running, because he is about to get mowed.
Im getting the same calls and I called advance america and they told me it was a scam. They told me to call the FTC and file a report which I did. Here is there number 877-982-4357. They recommended calling credit and state attorney general to file a complaint. Which Im doing as well. You MUST protect your information.
Actually the call came from 786-245-5199. Said I had a civil law suit against my ssn. I immediately was suspicious and called them back. Someone did answer, but I refused to give them any info. I called my attorney and was advised this is a SCAM!
i have recieved phone calls for the last three days from a man who calls himself STEVEN JOHNSON.this man can not speak english well. the calls were ridiculous and threatening. i saved 2 of the messages. in those he states IF YOU DO NOT PAY TODAY THE LOCAL SHERIFF DEPARTMENT WILL SEND AN OFFICER TO YOUR DOOR, HE WILL DRAG YOU TO THE COURTHOUSE, YOUR EMPLOYER, FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS WILL ALL BE CHARGED WITH INTENT TO COMMITTANK FRAUD. i wasntborn yesterday, it seems these people think we are stupid. first of if you have a accent such as from india, dont use the name steven johnson, an accent with a traditional american name does not work, if i am being charged with something, dont call me on the phone, if i was a criminal and you called, by the time you get here i would be gone,SPEAK ENGLISH PLEASE, anyone can check with FTC or a number of other agencies for correct info but they are required to tell you when you commited this crime, where it was committed, make them give a physical description of you, and please, dont tell me that an officer is going to knock on my door and DRAG me to the courthouse, you are threatening me with legal action and with physical violence all in one lengthy sentence.
i have started letting all of my calls go to voicemail, i am getting over 100 calls per day from loan companies, i would love for them to stop.
i have been recieving these calls too. not just threatening legal stuff, but right from the start they included threats of violence. it worries me because they do have my information, and the have my residence address. i dont want these creeps coming to my door. i have already been through identity theft several times.
