A legitimate debt collection company would not hang up on you for requesting an address. There's no such thing as a restraining order involving a debt. It is against the law to threaten you, as this employee did. Verify that you really have an unpaid debt by contacting Bank of America AND checking your credit reports from the three credit reporting companies (in case there's erroneous info on them that needs to be corrected). Also, check the statute of limitations for debts in your state; you're already more than 7 years past the alleged unpaid debt. It's possible that your state has laws to get a debt that old expunged from your records -- and that's assuming you really did owe it in the first place. If, indeed, the claims about a 2003 debt are false, or if they're trying to coerce you into paying a debt that's past the statute of limitations for your state, it's in your best interests to file a report against Litigation Support Services with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
I got this same phone call. Mine was left on my daughters answering machine. Strange! I called, and I also think its a scam. I was left the msg that I was being served with a restraining order in 24 to 48 hours if i did not contact them immediately. Then I was told good luck. So Stupid. Dont give these people money.
i did actually pay this through litigation support services. the only amount drafted from my account was the amount that i actually owed. no more or no less. i havent seen any unusual drafts or anything on my bank account. i received a pymnt letter and im ok with the outcome of just paying it. its off my back now. i also thought it was a scam but how would they have so much information. and the money i owed was legitimate. i really did owe it. like i said before i know that you can be sued for money owed and that they were in the process of filing a lawsuit against me. ive heard of people pulling there credit reports only to find they have a judgement against them. im just glad its over. hopefully its not a scam and im not just being dumb but i can say that i do feel i made the best decision
This number called me today with very broken English stating that I had a restraining order against someone. They gave a name and case #. What's really weird is they also called my brother's mother-in-law. I barely know the woman and have no idea what her phone number is. I would advise never to answer these calls or give them ANY info about yourself. If I knew a lawyer I'd have him call. I've been reading other reports about this # and when you start asking questions or bring up the subject of a lawyer they get very rude and hang up. What they are doing is illegal. I hope they get what's coming to them soon.

Ok i recieved a call from an Alicia Moore who says she was an investigator and I had a restraining order against me and I needed to call this number 804 767 4880 to find out what was going on. Her number came in reading 00000123456 or no number at all when she called me. I contacted the number and spoke to someone who says his name was William Ward. He told me that I owed this debt for this credit card that I had a while ago. He had a lot of my personal information so for a minute he almost had me convinced I owed this debt but the charges for the limit was astronomical. He also stated that if I didn't settle the debt that day he would not be able to give me this offer again he would have to go ahead and get a court over and have my wages garnished and assets froze. I panicked before I really thought about it and wanted to get the situation resolved asap. I was transferred to another department probably to girl that was sitting next to him and asked for my banking info but i was skeptical and didn't provide it. I put them on hold and started googling [***] and just hung up. So I gave them the info to my prepaid credit card. I called back days later and told them I needed some info sent to me in regards to this debt I owed days went by and I never got it I was told that I would recieve an email more days went by and I never got it so the last time I called I said I talk to a lawyer and I recieved the email in ten minutes.
The letter heading read: Litigation Support Services no business name the address on the paper is Old Canyon Road, Richmond, Va 23230 the address doesn't exist it will not come up on google maps. The name signed at the bottom is Rachel Hamilton with no title as to who she is and what department she represent. There is no account number associated with the debt.....PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY IT IS DEFINITELY A SCAM.
To add more if that didn't convince you I called the number today and started asking some questions like what is your address and I was told they couldn't give out that info for security purposes the I stated i have pulled up other litigation websites and they provide their address right on the sight the girl smirked. So I asked her for the website and she said National Legal Systems and then hung up the phone in my face. I called back and asked her why can't I find that street location they gave me on google maps and she hung up again. NOW DO YOU BELIEVE ME.
My (former) step-daughter called me and said that she received a call for me on her house phone (a number that has never been associated with) and left a message on the machine. The woman said her name was Jennifer Wilson and that I needed to call and comply to the charges brought against me within 48 hours. She referred to me by my married name, which I have not used legally in 3 years. I called the number and it was 804-767-4880, Litigation Legal Services. I immediately looked than up online and the BBB. No information to be found. I read the post on This forum and saw that another poster say that the person they spoke to said they were National Legal Systems. I found this company online and they have a disclaimer on their home page saying that they are not affiliated and have had many calls regarding the issue. If anyone else gets this you can call
