I'm up to 7 calls from this # today, at my work number. I'm no longer even bothering to pick up (I was leaving the receiver on my desk, not saying anything, till he hung up). How fun! (Sarcasm)
I received the inital call from 856-204-0652 and they asked for the owner of the company by name saying they were from the Bank of America. I told him he was not available and offered to take a message. He proceeded to ask me if we use that bank and if the named person worked there. He then asked me my age "because you have such a sweet voice" and when I declined to share he proceed to ask if he could touch my hair, hips, ect. I hung up and then received 4 calls in a row from the same number, which I hung up on. The last call showed as +40 300041049 so I answered. He repeated the whole thing again. I told him he was very inappropriate and to stop calling. Thus far he has not called back.
Received a call from the same man, heavy Indian/Ethnic accent on my work extension. Requesting to speak with an employee who no longer works for the company. After his persistent inquiries and me offering if I could help answer his questions, he proceeded to make in-proper comments which made me feel really uncomfortable. I told him that he was harassing me and I hung up. He proceeded to call me back 4 times and I did not answer.
Someone please help!
Just got this on my work line. Same Indian? accent, background noise, I answered with my first name, he asked me to confirm my first and last name which I did. He asked if this is my direct number, I said yes, he hung up. A but unnerving, but I don't see what can be done with this info in regards to identity theft. My name and business number are listed on my company's website anyway.
Got a call from Indian male today asking for an employee that worked here less than a month over 6 months ago. I told the guy said person was no longer with us, could I take a message he hangs up. 3.5 seconds later the phone rings again it is the same guy he goes "so you told me said person no longer works there, so how are you going to give him a message" I said I didn't know if you were needing service on one of your machines (we have a service department which said person worked in). He said something rude and hung up again.
I just wish I knew what these people are gaining (and why someone would pay them) by calling asking if a certain person is here and then hanging up?
Wanted to speak to an employee who happens to be be the IT manager. I transferred him over (accent like everyone on here has described, with the background noise...and rude). I guess the employer did not answer so he called back yelling at me that I did not give him the right person because the last name was different. I said it was the same person, and he hung up. I will definitely be monitoring more carefully.
