I'm up to 7 calls from this # today, at my work number. I'm no longer even bothering to pick up (I was leaving the receiver on my desk, not saying anything, till he hung up). How fun! (Sarcasm)
Same thing - male with a heavy accent. Called my office and was basically reprimanding me for not answering my direct line, so he re-routed to the main line and I answered, as I had just walked back to my desk. He stated my first and last name and asked if I was first, last name, Administrative Assistant. I said 'this is she' and he asked the same question a couple more times. I continued to say 'this is she' and he then hung up.
Got a call from this number asking to speak with a person in our office. He called this person by the correct name. Not sure where or how he got our employee's name. But it was the right correct name of our employee. That is scary that they knew his name. The person had a very heavy accent. He said he was with UPS. I asked him what this call pertained to and he hung up. Lots of noise in the background.
Call from this number a male with an Indian accent and a lot of background noise saying his name is Jason Smith - and asked for the business owner by name. I pressed him for the name of the company he was calling from and he said UPS. I I tried to transfer (giving the owner a warning that this did not seem anything like any UPS call I've ever had) and he was gone when I attempted to put the call through. Garbage.
Just received a call from this person with a NJ phone number, asking for me my name. Indian accent, then hung up when i said yes. Do not answer, please report.
