We don't even have credit cards. When it asked to push 1 to be transferred to a representative, I did so and simply said, "How do I get removed from your call list?"...they hung up. I called back and got a recording that said, "Thank you for calling back. To be removed from this list press 1 (again) which I did. I do not expect to stop receiving these calls. If anyone knows what I need to do to get them to stop, I'm all over it.
Another message about cardholder services and our LAST (again) chance to combine credit card debts. I received a call yesterday and wasn't home. Their message was very long. I received a call this morning and caller ID showed Telco. It was the same call as the day before. I am on the do not call list. Why are these calls now starting once again?
I have received NUMEROUS harassing phone calls from this number as well as several others. A recorded message tells you that "This is your last notice" and to "Press 1 to speak with a Customer Service Rep to Lower Your Interest Rate."
I always press 1 and get as much information as I can. This time it went like this:
Sherri: "This is Sherri with Card Member Services."
Me: "You say 'Card Member Services', what does that mean?"
Sherri: "We work with Visa and Mastercard."
Me: OK, so what COMPANY are you with.
Sherri: "Visa and Mastercard. Which banks do you have cards with?"
Me: "You called me, Sherri, and you are going to have to be more specific, I have several Visas and Mastercards. Which one are you calling from?"
Sherri: "We represent Bank of America, Chase and American Express"
(Really? Last time i checked American Express was neither Visa NOR Mastercard)
Me : "I don't have any of those."
Sherri: "Well those are the ones we work with."
Me: "I have received numerous harassing phone calls from this number, among others and if you don't even work with my banks, why are you calling me?"

This is typical of these calls! It is a SCAM and a FRAUD and they don't give a RIP about the do not call list. Some IDIOT SCAMMER is now harassing hundreds upon thousands of people who aren't going to fall for their stupid scam.
Everyone should harass them right back and make it very uncomfortable for their "operators" to continue to do this. Next time, I am going to tell them that I've notified the authorities and that they have already traced their call. . .
Please somebody do something about this annoying calls. Thank God the caller ID at least i can block but it still rings once..Called back and got an option to opt out. Hope it works!
